Who is the little horn? (Daniel 7)

Hello my beautiful family and welcome back to this our "2nd Season" of our studies in Bible prophecy. As you might know from our previous prophecy studies, prophecy is my "addiction", I get so hooked on prophecies that I just want to talk forever so... my apologies if I talk too much in the video. As the title of our post suggests, our goal today is to identify who the 'little horn' spoken off in Daniel chapter 7 is. Let's get right into it!

I don't know if you're a "reading" type of person or a "video" type, so just in case you skipped the video above, WELCOME BACK! For every post that we make we post a video on our YouTube channel which is, in a sense, a summary of what's discussed here. As mentioned, and as the title suggests, our goal in this post topic is to identify who the little horn spoken off in Daniel 7 is. Let's begin...

In the book of Daniel chapter 7 we read:

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words." - Daniel 7:7,8

... a few verses later in the same book and chapter we read:

"...The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; he shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings. He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time."- Daniel 7:24-25

From reading Daniel 7, Daniel 8, and Revelations 13 (more of Revelations 13 and Daniel 8 at a later topic), it becomes quite clear that identifying who this little horn is is CRUCIAL to understanding not only Bible prophecy, but what's to come. Note that prophecies, as we've mentioned before, follow a historical pattern and sequence, hence, it's important to understand Bible prophecy in sequential pieces. We have already posted some introductory topics in Bible prophecy that precede this one and, therefore, encourage you to take a look. (check out our posts in the prophecies category here).

So, who is the little horn? As we've done in our previous prophecy topics, for this topic we have referenced chapter (lesson) #2 of Pastor Bohr's book "God's Prophetic Chain". I believe is not worth to re-write what has already been written, plus, I don't think I can do a better job than Pastor Bohr in writing everything concerning this important topic of identifying the little horn. Because of this, I decided to not write the post but do the video which summarizes what Lesson #2 says. Feel free to see the video for an overview/summary, and to open the book (download link below) if you're interested in learning more about the topic. Whichever you do, just know that I'm here to answer any questions you may have.

With this, let's study.

God bless you my friend,
