"Like a thief in the night..."

Well hello and welcome back my beautiful family. As always, it is an absolute pleasure to have you here with me today. Not too long ago I was scrolling through the news and searching for information and I came across 3 sites, 3 news... let me share these with you:

... no to mention one that I had read not too long ago on how children are experiencing major depression episodes and committing suicides. Unfortunately, I couldn't find that one so I could share with you. Still... what do you think? We don't even need to speak about the world as a whole. Right in our home, in our country we're seeing how society values and morals are decaying at unprecedented rates. I could go on and on about the correlation between that and the fact that God is being expelled from society slowly... but I won't. Today I'm actually here to talk about something completely different. As always, we're going to let the Bible, God's word, be our guide. Let's begin.

The signs are there...

Being born in the early 90's, I vividly remember watching the news and get flabbergasted by hearing that someone got killed, it was such a horrific thing (still is) and not at all common. I remember watching TV and be caught by surprise when a sex scene was shown on TV; after all, the very few movies/shows with pornography and/or sex scenes were rated "R" and only adults indeed would see that. I remember playing with trucks, cars, all sorts of toys, making up stories in my mind to keep myself entertained; screen addiction? Nah, didn't exist. All I wanted was to play with my friends different sports and maybe the occasional Nintendo 64 or Playstation 1 game. I remember listening to music and the lyrics actually made sense and even talked about important topics and/or feelings. I remember that parents were figures of authority and children respected that boundary... needless to say, we're very far from this today. It's been barely 30 years and the panorama, the picture, is completely different.

Sex and pornography are everywhere, the music industry is all about being the most vulgar in the business, killings and massacres are the norm of the day, screen-addicted kids prone to suicide and depression is a thing... in only roughly 30 years I have witnessed an almost unbelievable switch in values and morals. In the grand scheme of things... 30 years isn't really that long, don't you think? Technology and scientific advancements are skyrocketing, values, morals and goals are decaying, and with it... life continues to lose value to the eyes of many. I can't but wonder... what is going on? Here's the thing, God has already left an explanation and warning for us in the Bible. One that we must NOT take lightly.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." - 2 Timothy 3:1-7
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”- Daniel 12:4
"Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, 'Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?' And Jesus answered and said to them: 'Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. 'Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." - Matthew 24:3-14

We certainly can continue to list verses that speak about how the end-times will look like from Daniel, Isaiah, Revelations, the Gospels, and many other books in the Bible... but, what do you think from the ones we just read? Look at the world that we live in and compare. Seems like everyday that goes by we're closer to the descriptions we just read. Why don't we read two more...?

"Then He spoke to them a parable: 'Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.'" - Luke 21:29-31
"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." - Matthew 24:37-39

Noah's ark door closed a few days before the flood came upon the earth. Meaning? The people outside lived business as usual not knowing that their cases had been decided and sealed... forever. Don't let this be you. Get ready.

"...pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Jesus is coming. The warning has been given, the signs are being fulfilled... take a stand.

Until next one my friend,
