God, please help me be like this...!!!

Hello and welcome back my beautiful friend and family! As always, it is a pleasure to have you here with me today and know that it is my prayer that you never forget that Jesus is #neverfaenough from you 😃 Really, He never is. You know, one of my favorite christian songs of all times is a song that used to be sang in my church a lot when I was a little kid. Unfortunately the song is in Spanish (if you understand Spanish, feel free to listen to the song here) but, essentially, the song is like a prayer where one is asking God to take us like clay in His hands and mold us into useful tools for Him. Is a beautiful song and it reminds me of the following Bible verse:

"But now, O Lord, e are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand..." - Isaiah 64:8

Isn't that verse beautiful? The idea that we are just mud but God can shape us into being useful and purposeful tools honestly brings tears to my eyes. God loves us and wants us to live the life that He created us to live... YOU and I were both created for a purpose... and we find our purpose in Jesus Christ.

So here I was earlier this week thinking about this song from my childhood and thinking about my Bible studies and how certain Bible characters just shined for their honor and commitment to God... and that's when it hit me. Man how much I wish I had a fraction of the traits that many of these Bible characters had; people who put God above all else. In these difficult and tumultuous times is hard to find people as committed to God as many men and women in the Bible or even the martyrs throughout the dark ages. How I wish to be able to strip all of my bad habits and build habits and characters like these men in the Bible had and did. Here's the "bad" news... as humans, as sinful beings, we simply can't truly change our characters and habits; this is something that only God can do.

The Apostle Paul said:

"For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." - Romans 7:19-25

This week, the video is a reflection of mine about how much we need God to shape us and help us be light in a world full of darkness. Is a prayer that I wish God would slowly but surely made true in my life. Now, I don't want to spoil the video... without further ado... let's watch:

May part of our prayers always be to ask God to shape us into His tools and give us strong, decisive characters like the ones of many of the Bible men and women.

Until next one my friend!
