S1 #4: History Foretold I

Updated: Apr 19, 2022

Welcome back and thanks for joining us in this our 4th topic on our Bible Prophesy series. We're extremely excited to have you here with us studying this VERY important topic.

As a quick reminder, we're basing these series on Pastor Stephen Bohr's study guide/book " Prophesy made Simple" which can be downloaded digitally for FREE from this site or from Pastor Bohr's ministry site https://secretsunsealed.org/study-notes-digital-download/ . As from this topic and on we begin "digging a little deeper" into prophecies, we have also adopted two (2) other study guides that help compliment and guide the study of prophecies. Both new study guides can also be found in the link provided and they are named:"God's Prophetic Chain" and "Studies in Daniel" (images below).

Finally, again and as a reminder, because the material has already been written, we decided not to re-write what's already out there but to focus on helping to continue spread God's final message through visual means (video). Given this, the bulk of the study can be found in the video at the end of this post. Complimentary materials to the video are written here.

The three study guides from Pastor Stephen Bohr that we are studying/referencing.

This week's topic is mainly based on the 5th chapter of the main referenced book (Prophecy made Simple). Of course, we HIGHLY encourage to read the referenced materials as they will help you better understand Bible prophecy and, our 100% guarantee 😁😁 is that you'll get hooked!!! The Bible is an amazing book... after all, it was inspired by God Himself.

Before commencing our brief discussion we do want to be very emphatic in that all the referenced books are great, yet, nothing like the Bible itself! The Bible should be our MAIN guide in life and in any study. Before reading study guides, read the Bible. We only reference the study guides because we have studied them and know that they only reference from the Bible... no human-added interpretation or external sources to interpret the Bible. Good?

Briefly, this week's topic deals with the 2nd and 7th chapter in the book of Daniel in the Bible. Daniel 2 presents the story of Nebuchadnezzar's dream which serves as a backbone for the other prophecies appearing in the book of Daniel and for most of the prophecies in the book of Revelations. From Daniel 2 we obtain a rough idea of what was/is to happen in the world before God's coming, and then in Daniel 7 we get the "expansion pack" and more insights to the dream in Daniel 2. We learn that 4 kingdoms and then a "weird one" (more details in future studies) were/are to pass through this world before God's coming; we also learn to identify the kingdoms and to interpret the Bible using solely the Bible.

During the video we do mention some symbols without much insights as to how we interpreted those symbols using the Bible. Here we explain:

  • "Waters" in biblical prophetic language is equivalent of 'nations', 'multitudes', people... from where to we get this? Well, let's take a look at the highly prophecy-loaded book of Revelations:

"Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues." Revelations 17:15
  • "Winds / tempest" in biblical prophetic language is symbolic of wars and conflict... from where do we get this? Well, let's take a look at another verse in Jeremiah (also a prophetic book) and see the correlation that it's made between winds/storm with wars:

"A noise will come to the ends of the earth— For the Lord has a controversy with the nations; He will plead His case with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword,’ says the Lord.” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Behold, disaster shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the farthest parts of the earth. And at that day the slain of the Lord shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground." Jeremiah 25:31-33

I could give you more verses to study but I'll challenge you to study the referenced study guides! They have a wealth of important information that we should all study. DISCLOSURE, I do not gain ANYTHING by having you read, purchase or download the study guides. I'm not interested in gaining anything, but in having you come close to God and understand His word. 😉
