"And by His stripes we are healed..."

Today (April 3rd - Saturday) my mother decided to give me a suggestion a bit late. She reminded me that this past week we all remembered Jesus's death on the cross and that yesterday it was 'Good Friday'. Along these lines she mentioned that I should've prepared a topic about the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross or His resurrection and it was a great suggestion... yet, a tad late.

Well, without much time to prepare an actual topic, I decided to share one of my favorite verses in the Bible in regards to the crucifixion of Jesus that remind us all the price that was paid for us by the Creator of the Universe. Without further ado, let's read together:

" For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked— But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth..." - Isaiah 53:2-9

Yes friend, Jesus died for you and me and paid the price that we were supposed to pay... death.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23

But Jesus paid that price and resurrected for the Glory of God and redemption of humanity. That's the Jesus we remember, that's the Jesus I praise, and that's the Jesus that's NEVER FAR ENOUGH from you. He's right now waiting to hear from you, to be with you, and to bring his unparalleled peace to your life. Open your heart and mind, and hear His voice. He lives and will come soon enough again to give each according to the fruits of our labor.

God bless you and your family in the beautiful name of Jesus. Take care, and until next one!
